INDY STAR: Jeff Saturday announced his plans to retire last month at the Pro Bowl in Honolulu. 

It becomes official Thursday when the veteran center retires as a member of the Indianapolis Colts. The team has planned a noon news conference. 

Saturday was an offensive cornerstone of the Colts from 1999-2011 before spending last season with the Green Bay Packers. 

“The years I spent with the Colts were truly remarkable and I am honored to be able to retire as a member of one of the classiest organizations in the NFL,” Saturday said in a statement released by the team. “I also want to thank Green Bay for the opportunity to compete as a member of the Packers last season.
