A Spike TV app lets mixed martial arts fans bring a new level of interactivity to their fight-watching.
Called Bellator, the app for iPhone and iPad allows fans to track fight analytics during matches, as well as score rounds themselves in over 26 categories. While they don't affect actual fight outcomes, those fan scores are then featured in Spike's on-air broadcast and compared to announcers' and judges' takes.
Bellator may not have the brand recognition of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but it professes to be the largest tournament-based mixed martial arts organization in the world, and claims to reach fans in 107 countries. Stateside, Bellator airs live on Thursday nights on Spike.
