If you thought McCutcheon’s full-court buzzer beater was the play of the week, think again.
New Rochelle claimed New York’s Section 1 Class AA State title with a… well, it’s tough to describe how crazy this video is. Take a look:
Mount Vernon had stolen the ball and thrown it up into the air, thinking that time would expire. Instead, Khali Edney (fitting last name, eh?) was the hero, snatching the ball and nailing the 57-footer with 0.1 seconds left. It also capped a 12-1 scoring run for New Rochelle in the final four minutes.
The video has already surpassed 1,000,000 views on YouTube, and thanks to this blog post, I’m sure can climb all the way to 1,000,008.
