In this game the teams are going to reflect the temperaments of their coaches. The Ravens will be the cool customers that do things by the book. Flacco will have an accurate game with the occasional big play tossed in. Healthy doses of Ray Race will get them a few field goals to start the game. I anticipate the Ravens getting a slight lead early... maybe making it a 9-0 game midway through the 2nd quarter. The 49ers will be more like their Coach Jim Harbaugh... firey and unpredictable. The defense will start the game stout, but will give up the occasional big play biting on a play action pass. They will bend but not break though and only give out FGs to start the game. When Kaepernick and the rest of the team finally settle down though, they'll get going right before halftime, maybe even getting the final score of the half to bring it close. The second half will be a shoot out, and I see this game going down to the final two possessions. Final score 34-31 in favor of the 49ers, who hold on in a final defensive stand to keep the Ravens from scoring.
While I hope the game is a good one, the hype leading up to Super Bowl XLVII seems too great to meet. I don't like Jim Harbaugh for many reasons, but I'll dislike him even more once he gets his hands on a Lombardi Trophy. The Ravens collapse under all the pressure, 49ers win big 38-13.
