Toward the end of the IU vs. MSU game last night, Cody Zeller took a shot from Derrick Nix in the groin area. The Refs went to the monitor to see if it was flagrant foul worthy, only to say that there wasn't enough evidence to make the call. Since more video has been released, a controversy has started. Some now say that Zeller was faking the retaliatory hit, trying to get Nix (who had begun playing really well) tossed. The Drive is split on this one.
Matt (IU Grad and unapologetic fan) says:
I think Zeller was hamming up up a bit, but Nix definately initiated the contact.
Jason (Purdue Grad, and noted Zeller neysayer)
Zeller pulled Nix's hand into him. You can tell because he starts making a face before he gets hit. And there is no pause between hit and reaction. He starts turning to the ref too soon.
So what do you think?
