And this is why you never try to jump a rod-iron fence. But this is why you always watch a girl attemptet to do it.

As much as I wanted to hate this, I just can't. The beginning could have used a little more of the Harlem Shake formula, but the execution of it at the end makes up for it. They had fun with it, and when athletes have fun in a non-boastful way, it can be good for everyone. So I'll give you this one, King James... this one time.
If this had been any other team, it probably wouldn't have made the national news. It would have been a blip on the cralwer during sports center, but because it was the Pacers involved in the frackus, it's been blown out of proportion. Something similar to this incident invovling Lee, Hibbert, West and Curry happens every few weeks in the NBA. When you've got big guys bumping each other around for 48 minutes at a time, tempers are bound to flare up, and shoves and wrestling may occur. No big deal. No punches were thrown, nobody got hurt.
Unfortunately, because the Pacers are involved, it brings back memories of one of the biggest black eyes in NBA history. The NBA office is going to do everything they can to show that they are "proactive" in making sure nothing like that happens again so they'll over react and suspend Hibbert, and probably Lee for a few games. Hopefully they won't go too far and extend that suspension to West as well.
But take a look for yourself. Hibbert is reacting to Lee with the first shove. Then he is "attacked" by Curry, whom Hibbert casually tosses to the side, before attacking him again.
The good news is that its forcing the national media to talk about the Blue and Gold for once.
And here's an example of two things that are way more popular than they should be being combined into something that most people will hate.
The NFL Combine is in full force, and I couldn't care less. I have no interest in watching guys work out. It's worse TV than PGA qualifying golf tournaments. I'd rather watch bowling on Sunday afternoon with a horrible hangover.
Now the Harlem Shake is fun, or at least it was two weeks ago. It's officially been done by everyone at this point. Once Jimmy Fallon did one, I stopped caring. But with that said... here's NFL combine players doing their version of the Harlem Shake. Enjoy!
Toward the end of the IU vs. MSU game last night, Cody Zeller took a shot from Derrick Nix in the groin area. The Refs went to the monitor to see if it was flagrant foul worthy, only to say that there wasn't enough evidence to make the call. Since more video has been released, a controversy has started. Some now say that Zeller was faking the retaliatory hit, trying to get Nix (who had begun playing really well) tossed. The Drive is split on this one.
Matt (IU Grad and unapologetic fan) says:
I think Zeller was hamming up up a bit, but Nix definately initiated the contact.
Jason (Purdue Grad, and noted Zeller neysayer)
Zeller pulled Nix's hand into him. You can tell because he starts making a face before he gets hit. And there is no pause between hit and reaction. He starts turning to the ref too soon.
So what do you think?
